On top of this, I adore Hayan pretty much.
More so, it makes you understand how a single choice or experience can lead to the worst or best of things. The webtoon leaves you questioning your moral compass. It was really difficult to purely hate each one of them, even Yohan. Moreso, those backstories and internal monologues has shown their humanity making readers sympathize and understand them. I loved how each of the 7 angels of death were given their own chapters to explain their backstory, how they came to be, and what was driving them to do such acts. One thing that makes this webtoon captivating is its varied cast particularly the supposed “villains” of the story. Other than that, it was utter perfection. I guess the two things I wished to have been explained more extensively or given more time was the origin of pureblood vampires (we have been told that it stems from ancient civilizations but nothing more) and the romance of our MCs. We also get excellent plot twists that will leave you hooked and wanting the next chapter.Īlthough it has the typical save-the-world-from-evil-villain trope, the way things unfolded made the storyline interesting especially when coupled with a good world - lore about vampires and their origins. We get a good back story for all of the main casts, including both protagonists and villains, making it difficult to fully love or hate each of them. We are offered action, drama, humor, romance, family and more on top of the “saving the world plot”. I’m in love with Hayan and most especially the Detective that I can’t help but swoon and stare whenever the author blesses us with solo panels. This webtoon has all that I’ve ever wanted in a comic read:įrom the outfits of the characters, the setting, the epic fight scenes, and the appearances of the characters themselves each of them are beautiful. I’ve never thought I’d like it at first since I’m not much into vampire reads but boy, was I entirely wrong. I wish to thank all those who recommended it to me. Being locked up at home for almost 2 years is taking a toll on me and having something to look forward to every week makes it more bearable. Second, because it has made quarantine life exciting and bearable. First, because Unholy blood has been one of my first 5 webtoon reads since I discovered the app last year. This has been one hell of a read and it will always hold a special place my heart. And that’s a wrap! A beautiful and heartwarming one 😩🥰
